I've tried many rounds of Clomid, and two cycles with injectables...all failed.

I stopping ovulating on my own for a while, and then Femara got me going again.  I've had around 5 miscarriages now and one tubal pregancy resulting in the loss of that tube and that sides ovary.

 

Our insurance doen't cover anything, so this has all been out of pocket.  We've spent a ton so far and at this point just can't do IVF (I don't think I'd respond well anyway!) and while donor eggs aren't out of the question for me personally, I'm just not ready to try that yet.  I don't have anyone willing to donate, and with the cost of paying a donor on top of IVF costs..YIKES.

 

My personal plan is to keep taking vitamins, herbs and see an accupunturist while trying on my own. I do like how I respond with Femara, and have been going about every-other cycle with it.  I'm going to try adding progest. supps for support after ovulation since I don't seem to have a problem getting pregg, just keeping it.  While I know that high FSHer's do have more egg quality issues, hence more m/c's, I'm wondering if the sups won't help in some way.

 

As I said on the homepage, I hope this site is able to help someone else out there.  I was disappointed that there isn't a better site out there that answers the basic questions about high FHS.

 

Personally, I'll keep trying and praying until I'm 40.  Then, DH and I will have to have a talk.  If we really want this, I'll look into donor at that time.
